The BECKHOFF EL1014 is a high-performance, 4-channel digital input terminal designed for seamless integration into EtherCAT I/O networks. This compact 12mm slice acquires binary 24 V DC control signals from the field level—such as proximity switches, sensors, and limit switches—and transmits them with full galvanic isolation to the higher-level automation controller. Featuring an ultra-fast 10 µs hardware input filter, the EL1014 is highly optimized for high-speed industrial automation tasks where rapid signal acquisition is critical. Its integrated 2-wire connection technology enables direct sensor wiring with +24 V connection points right on the block, reducing external terminal blocks and saving valuable control cabinet space.
