The module functions primarily as a SMART transmitter power supply. It provides fully isolated DC power to two separate 2-wire SMART transmitters located in explosive atmospheres (Zone 0, 1, or 2). It captures the 4–20 mA analog current loop from the field devices and mirrors it cleanly to the control side (PLC/DCS). Because it supports bidirectional digital HART communication, diagnostic and configuration data can pass right through the analog signal without interruption.
